Section 1 - Get started with Freedom-Board™

Freedom-Board™ unlike other graphics tools like Miro or Canva offers automation features that help accelerate product design collaboration, merchandising planning brand reviews and sales meetings.

Freedom-Board™ is an infinite canvas, with real-time connectivity to attribute data, images, and your marketing material. It simplifies the process of creating, sharing, and updating your designs and brand presentations.

Freedom-Board™ is an innovative platform that allows you to combine your product designs with your PR and marketing plans in a seamless and collaborative way. Whether you're presenting to clients or collaborating with team members, it provides the tools you need to create engaging, dynamic presentations that get results.

Freedom-Board™ is an innovative digital tool that offers several unique features designed to enhance the user experience. Freedom-Board™ has Product library and the ability to search products. In Product library it also has built-in hierarchy search, prior season search and quick search functionalities giving quick access to product master data. In addition to the product library, Freedom-Board™ offers the ability to grouping and sorting of products. Freedom-Board™ allows users to import assortment.

In Freedom-Board™ users can create and visualize their line plans .It also offers product attribute management, supports 3D objects and consists custom image library. User can zoom, move around, and edit everything on the board. Above functionalities differentiate freedom board from other graphics tools.

Freedom-Board™ helps designers and sales teams by providing cloud-connected real-time data and allowing easy import of assortments, previews, line plans and custom collections. In Freedom-Board™ there is a blue i for easy attribute data capture also it will allow you to combine it with PR and marketing demos. Freedom-Board™ helps designers and sales teams to showcase their work in a professional and organized way.

An infinite whiteboard or canvas is a digital workspace with no set boundaries or limitations. It allows you to create and collaborate on content without worrying about running out of space.

Yes, you can update already created Freedom-Board™ file name.

  1. Click on the wheel to select the Freedom board file you wish to update the name.
  2. Go to Rename option.
  3. After click on Rename pop-up will open where enter file name as desired.
  4. Save the changes by clicking on the Rename button.

Yes, you can duplicate or create a copy of the already created Freedom-Board™ file name.

  1. Click on the wheel pop-up will open.
  2. Select Save As option on pop-up to create a copy of your board.
  3. Enter Freedom Board Name and click on Proceed to create a copy of the Freedom-Board™.

* Note -Save as will create a copy of Freedom Board in the same Product Season and cannot be editable.

Yes, you can leave comments or notes on a Freedom-Board™ to provide feedback or ask questions. This is especially useful for teams working remotely who may not have the opportunity to communicate in person.

Freedom-Board™ supports 3D files, Images, Videos, Presentations, Spreadsheets and PDF.

Section 2 - Features

1. Freedom Dashboard

Freedom-Board™ allows drawing directly on the board with the help of various design tools such as line tool, shapes and stickers. you can open line tool to draw out your ideas.

The Freedom-Board™ provides a variety of pre-built shapes that users can easily insert onto the board, including circles, squares, triangles, arrow and more.

Users can add stickers to their designs, which are pre-made graphics that can be easily placed on the board.

To make Freedom board easy to use we have introduced keyboard shortcuts and hotkeys. These can be very useful for increasing productivity and speeding up your work when using a computer.

In Freedom-Board™ containers play a vital role in organizing and managing your content on the Board. Containers act like pages that group objects together allowing you to move or copy all content inside the container. Additionally, Containers are useful for creating presentations.

There are six static container sizes in Freedom-Board™: A4, Letter, Tabloid 16:9, 4:3, and 1:1. and one dynamic size (Custom).

  1. To create a new container, select the Create Container icon from the top menu and drag the cursor anywhere on the board to create a custom-sized Container.
  2. Alternatively, you can right-click on one or more objects and select the Add to Container option to create a new Container around the selected objects.

To add collections /products to a container.

  1. Go to Product Library select assortment or search to open Products Library which displays all available products in the Left Panel.
  2. From the Product Library, simply drag and drop the objects onto the Board.
  3. Then you can right-click on one or more objects and select the Add to Container option to create a new Container around the selected objects.
Alternative method:
  1. Create a Container from the top menu and drag the cursor anywhere on the board.
  2. Go to product library select assortment or search to open Products Library which displays all available products in the Left Panel.
  3. Select the products and drag and drop directly onto the container.

Yes, you can resize, move, delete or add items to containers on Freedom-Board™.

In Freedom-Board™ the product library is typically used to search and access the product from database. It enables users to quickly and easily find the products they are looking for, based on specific criteria or search terms.

To search for products with in a Freedom-Board™ click on the Product Library icon located on the left corner of the screen. This will open the Product Search panel.

There are multiple methods available in a Freedom-Board™ where user can choose to search for products using the hierarchy search method, prior season search method, or quick Search method.

Hierarchy Search method is the process where user use to Search Products of shared category Products .Hierarchy may consists of various Levels: Store >> Department >> Division >> Product >> Gender>>Class >> Sub Class.

Note : Product Hierarchy may differ as per the clients and users based on different scenarios.

  1. Click on Product Hierarchy Search icon in the product library panel will open hierarchy table pop-up.
  2. Select the required hierarchy level from the options available in the pop-up and then click on apply products .Once you select the hierarchy level, the products or items within that level will be displayed in the search panel below.

  1. The quick search method provides a fast and efficient way to search for products using specific attributes such as Style Code, Color Way, Color/Group Hue, Description, and Style-NRF.
  2. Hit Enter or click on the search button to initiate the search. Products matching the entered information will appear in the search panel below.

  1. Click on All Season Search icon in the product library panel.
  2. Then a prior season product search pop-up will open where user need to select value from the available drop down options. It will display all prior season products that match the selected value.

In Freedom-Board™ Multi Select is used to select multiple products with few clicks.

Click on Multi Select button to Enable/Disable Multi select.

  1. Hover your mouse over the products that you want to select. As you hover over each product, you will see a checkbox appear.
  2. Click on the checkbox next to each product that you want to select.
  3. Once you have selected all the products simply drag and drop it on the board.

In Freedom-Board™ user can add comment directly on the board.

To add a comment
  1. Click on the Add Comment icon in the menu at the top of the board.
  2. Then Go to the board where you want to add comment, again click this will open up the comment box where you can type your message or comment inside the comment box.
  3. Now click on arrow icon next to the comment to post your comment.
To edit a comment
  1. Select the comment you want to edit on the board.
  2. Click on the Edit icon (pen symbol) next to the comment then make the necessary changes to the previous comment.
  3. Then click the checkmark next to the comment to post your edited comment.
To delete a comment
  1. Select the comment you want to delete.
  2. Click on the delete icon then comment will be removed from the board.

Note: only the comment creator has the authority to delete the comment.

To create a sticky note in Freedom-Board™.

  1. Click on the Add Sticky Note icon in the menu at the top of the board.
  2. Click and drag the cursor anywhere on the board to create a sticky note.
  3. While typing on the sticky note, formatting options will be available. You can choose the text font, text color, background color, change font size, etc.

To add a stickers on Freedom-Board™

  1. Click on the Add Stickers icon in the menu at the top of the board. Pop-Up menu will open where you can select the sticker you want to add from stickers list.
  2. Click and drag the cursor anywhere on the board to add stickers.
  3. You can delete, rotate and resize the stickers.

Presentation mode is a feature available in Freedom-Board™ where you can use containers as presentation slides. It is a way to showcase your content in a more visually engaging way by presenting it in a format that resembles a slideshow.

Yes, You can make presentation slides from the containers. Containers can be used to create a presentation-like sequence where each Container represents a slide.

  1. Click on the menu icon at the top of the screen.
  2. From the menu list select Presentation mode
  3. By clicking on Presentation Mode, users can view their Containers as individual slides in a presentation.
  4. To move between slides, users can either use the navigation arrows on the screen or select the desired container from the container list.
  5. The Home button takes users back to the first container in the list, while the Back button allows them to navigate to the previous slide.

2. Import

To import collections or assortment to Freedom-Board™.

  1. Click on Product library Icon in the left panel.
  2. Left panel will be open where select File Import option is there then click on Copy/Paste list button.
  3. Paste the list of products by Style-NRF in the Copy Paste List popup window and click on Import.
  4. The pasted list will be validated, and valid products will be added to the Products Search Panel in the Left Panel.

Yes, you can import your product master data into Freedom-Board™ in real-time. It is connected with your PIM, PLM, and DAM systems and enables you to access your data and assortments instantly.

To upload files in Freedom-Board™ we have multiple options available:-

Upload files from your device
  1. To upload files from your device click on Upload Files icon in the menu at the top of your board.
  2. Select My Device this will open a file explorer on your device. Navigate to the folder or location where the files you want to upload are stored.
  3. Select the files you want to upload by clicking on them or using the "Ctrl" or "Shift" keys to select multiple files.
  4. Once the upload is complete you can see the uploaded file on the board.

Note- Supported files upload from my device are Images, Videos, PDF, PPT, Excel.

Upload files from URL links
  1. To upload files from the web select Upload via URL.
  2. Then paste a direct URL link to a file from the web, such as images, YouTube or Vimeo video.

You can also upload files from Dropbox, Google Drive, One Drive, All of the options are available in the Upload menu.

3. Managing Boards

  1. To save your work on the Freedom-Board™ click on the save icon located in the menu at the top of the board.
  2. After click on save a message will display on the screen i.e saved successfully.

  1. Click on the to select the Freedom board file you want to delete.
  2. Select the Delete option from the settings menu.
  3. Confirm that you want to delete the board by Clicking "OK" in the dialog box that appears on the screen.

Once you delete a Freedom-Board™ from your Dashboard, it cannot be restored manually. Instead, you will need to contact Visulon's tech support team to help restore the board. They will be able to assist you in recovering any deleted boards or projects.

If you want to leave a specific Freedom-Board™ project and return to the main menu.

  1. Click on the Home button in the top-right corner to leave current Freedom board project. After that a message of saved successfully will display on the screen and you should be returned to the main menu or dashboard of the Freedom-Board™.

Yes, when you leave any Freedom-Board™ everything is automatically saved to the cloud.

Section 3 - Team Collaboration

Yes, multiple users can collaborate on the same Freedom-Board™ simultaneously. This enables real-time collaboration and allows teams to work together seamlessly.

Collaboration is easy with Freedom-Board. In your session, you can easily share freedom board with multiple users.

To share and collaborate a Freedom-Board™ with your team, follow these steps.

  1. Click on the team share icon in the top-right corner to share current Freedom-Board™ project.
  2. Then collaborate & share with your team pop-up window will open where you can select the group members to share the board.
  3. Then click on create team button this will share the Freedom-Board™ project with the selected group members. Your team members will receive an email notification with a link to access the shared Freedom-Board project.

Yes, it is possible to allow the team members to work together on the same board. All participants can collaborate, view draw edits together the shared Freedom-Board canvas in real time. In your session, you can for simultaneously collaborate up to fifteen people.

Section 4 - Integrations

Yes, Freedom-Board has an embedded video calling facility that allows users to conduct video meetings with team members directly within the platform, without the need for additional video conferencing tools such as Zoom, Webex, or Teams. Zoom, Webex, or Teams.

Embedded video calling is a feature in Freedom-Board that allows users to conduct video meetings with team members directly within the platform, without the need for additional video conferencing tools such as Zoom, Webex, or Teams.

In Freedom-Board™ the embedded video calling facility is designed to connect with users directly from the board. To start a meeting in Freedom-Board™ click on the Video Call icon located at the top-right menu of the board.

  1. After click on Video Call icon new meeting page will open.
  2. From there you can choose either "Meet Now" or "Schedule Meeting" option located at the top-right corner of the board.
To start a meeting immediately "Meet Now"
  1. If you Choose Meet Now you need to add a meeting title, select attendees, set the meeting duration and a description of the meeting.
  2. Once you have entered the required details click on Meet Now button to start the meeting, an email notification will be sent to the attendees to join the meeting.
To Schedule Meeting for a later time "Schedule Meeting".
  1. If you Choose Schedule meeting, you need to add a meeting title, select attendees, set the meeting date time duration and a description of the meeting.
  2. Once you have entered all the required details click on Schedule button to schedule a meeting, an email notification will be sent to the attendees to join the meeting at scheduled time.

PIM (Product Information Management), PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), and DAM (Digital Asset Management) integration in allows users to connect and integrate their existing PIM, PLM, and DAM systems directly with the platform. This integration allows users to access and work with real-time product data, images, and assets directly within Freedom-Board.

We can easily integrate with PIM, PLM, or DAM to exchange the real-time data over the cloud using custom API's.

Yes, you can connect Freedom-Board™ with your Dropbox, Google Drive, One Drive.

Connect your Dropbox, Google Drive, One Drive account with Freedom-Board™ you will be able to add images from your drive to Freedom-Board™.

  1. Click on Upload Digital Assets icon in the menu at the top of the board.
  2. Select DropBox, Google Drive or One Drive option then a new pop-up window will open where you need to sign in with your Dropbox, Google Drive or One Drive account.
  3. After sign in Your Dropbox, Google Drive or One Drive account get connected to Freedom-Board™.

Visulon Freedom-Board™ offers V-DAM integration solution that allows organizations to access their digital assets directly from the board. A digital asset management (DAM) provides a systematic approach to efficiently storing, organizing, managing, retrieving, and distributing an organization’s digital asset. Here's how it works:

The organization must have an existing V-DAM system in place. The integration between Freedom-Board™ and the V-DAM system must be configured by the administrator.

Once the integration is set up, users can access the V-DAM library directly from the board. They can do this by clicking on the V-DAM icon located in the left panel of the board.

Clicking on the V-DAM icon opens the V-DAM library where users can retrieve their digital assets. The V-DAM library offers search option to make it easier for users to find the digital assets they need. Users can search for assets using keywords.

Once users have retrieved their digital assets from the V-DAM library, they can simply drag and drop the asset onto the board.

Yes, you can update all the changes in product master data on Freedom-Board™

  1. Click on the menu icon at the top of the screen.
  2. From the menu list click on Update all to update your product master data with all the changes you have made.

If you are experiencing performance issues or bug using Freedom-Board™, you can email us at techsupport@visulon.com with the following information:

  1. A detailed description of the issue.
  2. A screen recording/screenshots of the issue along with the console error logs.
  3. If the issue happens on a specific board share the board with techsupport@visulon.com with editing rights (only if you don’t have an issue with sharing it).
  4. If the issue is connected with a specific uploaded file - send us the file.
  5. Specify your device, operating system, browser types and browser version.
